The 60th Annual CMA Awards: Show night versus a holiday Wednesday
The CMA Awards date has a lower citywide booked-night share and Asking Rate than the preceding Wednesday. A venue-area map can help Nashville hosts ask whether that comparison is useful for their own rentals.
Updated October 12, 2026
If you host near Bridgestone Arena, an awards show on your calendar might prompt a rate change. Before making one, there is a more useful question: what does the show night look like beside the Wednesday you would otherwise use for comparison?
Wheelhouse’s Nashville Market Report, observed October 6, 2026, shows 7.4% Booked Occupancy for the November 18, 2026 show date, versus 9.2% for the preceding Wednesday, November 11, 2026. The comparison date is Veterans Day, and these are different future stay dates—not a matched-lead-time test of event demand.
Wheelhouse found that the CMA Awards show date has both lower Booked Occupancy and a lower fee-inclusive Asking Rate than the preceding Wednesday in its Nashville market snapshot.
The comparison Wednesday has a calendar of its own
The organizer schedules The 60th Annual CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena on November 18, 2026. That is the full event schedule supplied here, and it is also the entire analyzed stay window; the surrounding dates are not treated as awards dates. Wheelhouse compares that night with the nearest preceding same weekday before the event, November 11, 2026.
In the citywide Market Report, the show night’s fee-inclusive Asking Rate is $322, below the comparison Wednesday’s $339. Those are advertised prices, not achieved ADR. Booked Occupancy likewise describes the share of nights already reserved when Wheelhouse observed the dates, not bookings gained between them or final Occupancy.
The earlier Wednesday is Veterans Day, a federal holiday. That makes it a less straightforward stand-in for an ordinary Wednesday, but does not explain the price or booked-share gap by itself. The show date has more time remaining until arrival at this snapshot, too; that difference is worth accounting for, not a complete explanation. Ryman Auditorium also schedules The Stray Cats on the awards date. It is another verified calendar entry, not evidence of which event, if either, affects rentals.
Use the arena map to narrow the question
The venue map below offers a different view: sampled rental areas around Bridgestone Arena, observed October 12, 2026. You can switch between the show date and the preceding Wednesday to inspect booked-night share and asking prices in those areas. Unlike the October 6, 2026 citywide Market Report, the map uses a spatial sample and shows asking prices excluding fees. Its figures should not be substituted for the citywide prices above.
Treat the colors as a prompt to inspect an area, not a rate recommendation for an address. The heatmap smooths sampled-area values, so a color edge is not a measured neighborhood boundary. Even a nearby sampled area may mix bedroom counts, rental types and amenities unlike yours. Proximity to the arena makes a location relevant to check; it does not establish that your guests are attending the show or that your property shares the area’s performance.

Make the decision on comparable bookable nights
Wheelhouse Dynamic Sets can help you assemble a more useful pricing context: rentals comparable in location, bedroom count, type and amenities, rather than the whole Nashville market. Inspect their date-specific context for November 18, 2026 alongside November 11, 2026, keeping in mind that Veterans Day makes the earlier date an imperfect baseline. The map can tell you where to look; the comparable group tells you whether an asking price belongs in the same conversation as yours.
Then use Wheelhouse Performance Analytics to examine your own booking pace and pickup for the show date. Where comparable records exist, check each date against its own same-weekday historical reference at a comparable booking lead time, with the same set of nights genuinely available to book. That helps separate newly recorded bookings from cancellations or host blocks; a rate attached to an already-booked night is not a newly achieved price. If comparable rentals and your own bookable-night pace support a different show-date strategy, consider a date-specific change. If they do not, keep the current strategy rather than treating the arena’s calendar as a price signal on its own.
