Walt Disney World (South): Halloween has the highest Asking Rate (Oct 26–Nov 1, 2026)
Walt Disney World (South) short-term rentals for Oct 26–Nov 1, 2026: Halloween leads Asking Rate, but Friday leads Booked Occupancy. Bedroom bands add pricing context.
Updated October 20, 2026
Halloween gives the Walt Disney World (South), Florida, calendar an obvious focal point. Yet the highest advertised price and the highest Booked Occupancy fall on different nights. For operators, that makes the weekend worth examining by stay date—and by home size—before using the market's price as a property benchmark.
Halloween has the highest Asking Rate, but Friday has the highest Booked Occupancy in Walt Disney World (South) for October 26, 2026–November 1, 2026. Wheelhouse data as of October 19, 2026 shows Saturday, October 31, 2026, at an Asking Rate of $284 and Booked Occupancy of 18.5%, versus Friday, October 30, 2026, at $283 and 18.8%, respectively. Booked Occupancy measures the share of nights already reserved, not final Occupancy; Asking Rate is the advertised nightly price including fees, not achieved ADR.
Wheelhouse data shows that the Halloween Party date of Oct 27 has the week's lowest Booked Occupancy at 14.2%, despite sharing the event calendar with Halloween.
The Halloween calendar does not rank the nights
Friday, Oct 30, and Halloween, Oct 31, sit at the top of the week's price range, with Asking Rates of $283 and $284. Their Booked Occupancy readings put Friday ahead instead. That is a modest difference, not evidence that Halloween commands an achieved premium or that Friday will finish higher.
The calendar supplies a useful counterexample. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled at Magic Kingdom on October 27, 2026, October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 within the analyzed October 26, 2026–November 1, 2026 stay window. Those party dates have Booked Occupancy of 14.2%, 16.8% and 18.5%, respectively. A shared event label therefore is not enough to explain their positions in this observation; weekday differences remain a competing explanation.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival also runs throughout the week. It provides context for the full stay window, rather than an explanation for why a particular night leads. Later stay dates have more time remaining until arrival, so these readings should not be treated as final demand rankings.

Home size changes the relevant price reference
The weekly market view answers which dates stand out, but it does not tell an operator where a particular home's Asking Rate belongs. Wheelhouse Market Pulse adds a separate bedroom-based reference: for October 2026, as of October 19, 2026, the median Asking Rate band for 4 bedrooms is $195 to under $200, compared with $295 to under $300 for 6 bedrooms.
Those monthly, fee-inclusive bands illustrate why the same Halloween Asking Rate can mean different things for different homes. They are containing bands, not exact median prices or recommended rates. They also cover a different window from the weekly outlook, so they cannot identify a Halloween premium by bedroom count. Use the bedroom distribution to choose a more relevant comparison group, then inspect that group's advertised prices for the actual stay dates.

Does your own calendar support the Halloween price lead?
Use Wheelhouse Dynamic Sets to build a group of genuinely comparable homes, starting with bedroom count and refining for location and relevant rental attributes. Inspect advertised prices for Oct 30 and Oct 31 separately. The question is whether comparable homes also price Halloween above Friday—not whether your property matches the market-wide Asking Rate.
Then use Wheelhouse Performance Analytics to review your own bookings for those dates. Where comparable records exist, compare each date with its own same-weekday historical reference at matching time remaining until arrival. Keep eligible nights consistent and account for cancellations and blocks; confirmed booked rates can help assess price acceptance, but they are not completed-stay revenue.
Halloween is the starting point for this week's price review, not an automatic premium. If comparable advertised prices and your own booking records support that emphasis, retain it. If Friday shows stronger support in those separate checks, shift attention there rather than letting the holiday name decide.
How Wheelhouse measures this
Wheelhouse Market Reports track bookings and advertised prices across short-term rental listings in Walt Disney World (South). This article uses Wheelhouse data as of October 19, 2026.
Booked Occupancy is the share of nights already reserved for each stay date as of October 19, 2026. Asking Rate is the nightly price listings advertise for each date, fees included.
The bedroom chart uses monthly asking-rate distributions for 2026-10, including fees. Quartiles and medians are price bands, not exact prices. Bedroom groups follow the source report. These price distributions do not establish bedroom-specific occupancy.
